Teaching sustainability in Lebanon
Refugees in Lebanon
Our friends in Lebanon have been working with refugees for many years when so many fled the disruption in Syria into the Bekaa Valley region. They've brought relief, transitioned the camp toward sustainability and our hope is to bring additional training for this particular camp.
These families fled violence, have survived long days of travel and many years living in temporary housing (tarps). Often these tarps leak from wear and need replacing. Cold times are very cold and hot days are very hot inside these shelters. They have latrines, a small well for clean water and grow vegetables during warm weather. Now working toward more education for children as well as income-generating sources for families will bring a more stable foundation.
With your help, we can bring this additional training, increase the educational access and allow this community to become sustainable or help them prepare to return home if they are required to leave.
Please consider a monthly investment into the lives of these long term refugees to offer the hope of a better future for their children. You can make a difference in the lives of children today that will impact their adulthood.
