Lebanon refugee camps
teaching sustainability through leadership
families fleeing violence
Our friends in Lebanon have been working with refugees for many years. When so many fled the disruption in Syria into the Bekaa Valley region, we were called to help. Together, we have brought relief, transitioned the camp toward sustainability and working towards bringing additional training for the camp.
These families fled violence, have survived long days of travel and many years living in temporary housing, most of which were made from tarps. Often these tarps leak from wear and need frequent replacing. Cold times are very cold and hot days are very hot inside these shelters. They have latrines, a small well for clean water and grow vegetables during warmer weather. Today, they are working towards more educational opportunities for their children as well as income-generating sources for families - in turn, this will bring a more stable foundation.
With your help, we can bring this additional training, increase their access to education, and allow this community to become self-sustainable.
Please consider a monthly investment into the lives of these long term refugees to offer the hope of a better future for their children. You can make a difference in the lives of children today that will impact the rest of their lives.
